who's that girl?
At a young age, Leah knew that she was passionate about the performing arts. She started dancing when she was three years old and was obsessed with old movie musicals, such as Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, and Summer Stock. However, her all-time favorite movie musical was The Wizard of Oz. Leah eventually started listening to the Wicked soundtrack, which was based off of The Wizard of Oz. She fell in love with the character, Glinda, and saw the musical (the first Broadway show she attended) at the age of five. She knew that she wanted to perform on a Broadway stage someday and tell stories for the rest of her life when she saw Glinda's first entrance by bubble. (To this day, Glinda is still Leah’s #1 dream role!) She loved the musical so much she would sing through the entire soundtrack (as every character) every single day for her grandfather after coming home from kindergarten. Years later, at the age of ten, Leah would play Dorothy Gale in her school’s summer theatre production of The Wizard of Oz, which then prompted her to get more serious and determined to pursue a career in the arts.
Meet leah!
Since Leah was six years old, it was a tradition for her family to see Theatre Three's annual mainstage production of A Christmas Carol. When she entered the seventh grade, Leah decided to audition for the production and was privileged to be cast for two consecutive seasons, playing Belinda Cratchit at age twelve and Martha Cratchit at age thirteen. It was a magical experience for her to finally be a part of this special production. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit shortly after, Leah took every opportunity she could to continue doing what she loved most, which included training online with several acting schools, such as the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and participating in workshops of new musicals with Broadway's Taylor Louderman.
In 2021, Leah played Heather McNamara (one of her dream roles) in The John W. Engeman Theater’s production of Heathers, her first in-person show since the shutdown. Since then, Leah has performed in numerous shows at The Engeman, including Chicago as Roxie Hart and Les Misérables as Cosette. She has also performed in several shows at The Star Playhouse at Stage 74, including Into the Woods as Rapunzel, The Crucible as Mary Warren, and The Music Man as the dance captain and a member of the teen ensemble, understudying Zaneeta Shinn, as well.
Additionally, throughout her high school career, Leah co-directed Almost, Maine at Mount Sinai Performing Arts, received the East End Arts Teeny Award for Best Leading Role in a Play for her portrayal of Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Mount Sinai Performing Arts, received the Long Island Scholar Artist Award for Theatre and was featured in Newsday, music directed and conducted her school's treble choir, and attended Penn State University's pre-college musical theatre summer intensive.
Currently, Leah is pursuing her BA in Theatre Performance at Wagner College in New York City. She recently appeared in Wagner's productions of Fun Home as Helen Bechdel and To Be Seen, an original dance show, as the production's swing. Additionally, she performed in her third Feinstein's/54 Below show in April 2025, which was a night dedicated entirely to soprano musical theatre pieces, both new and old.
When Leah isn't performing, she's most likely spending time with her friends or her cat, shopping for something pink, drinking a Shirley Temple, watching Dance Moms, listening to a variety of pop artists (her favorite is Harry Styles), reading a rom-com or psychological thriller novel, or living out her dreams of being (working as) a princess at Royal Princess Prep Entertainment!
